The International Organization for Victim Assistance was created to continue the advance of victim rights and services across the globe. Founded by long-time leaders in the worldwide victims’ movement, IOVA seeks to mobilize the experience, insight, and idealism of its members in service to agencies of government and civil society that seek to advance the victim’s cause. In alliance with champions of justice and human rights, IOVA works to insure that the administration of justice always honors victims’ participatory rights and just reparations. And in partnership with humanitarian organizations, IOVA seeks to bring skilled compassion to those traumatized by acts of violence, whatever the cause, human or natural.
We welcome expressions of interest and support from colleagues everywhere.
